How Grid-Tied Solar Works
Your panels power your home first. When you produce more than you use, the extra goes to the grid, and when you produce less, such as at night, you draw from the grid as usual. There is no battery bank to maintain unless you choose to add one.
How Oklahoma Credits Your Production

What Happens in an Outage
A grid-tied system without storage shuts off when the grid goes down, for safety reasons. If outage protection matters to you, ask about battery backup.
